We found this amazing place when we were looking for someone to look after our fur baby for a week years ago and my sister recommended here. We knew our sister loved her fur babies so much and wouldn’t leave them with anyone but the best and boy were we right. And we have used them for years since. They let us look round to see the facilities first to make sure we liked it even before we booked her in. From first contact and in every visit the love shown and genuine care for each dog by all the ladies who work there shines through, they are fantastic with information, cleanliness and reassuring nervous fur mums. Zappa always liked it there and never looked back when she went and was always happy and well looked after when we picked up. They are always adding facilities like dog grooming and improving things like paddocks and it always looks lovely. Any instructions regarding food, treats, medical needs and conditions were noted and followed to the letter and it is more than obvious they all love their job and treat the fur babies like their own. 100 out of 10 would recommend.

Fantastic place with lovely staff. We drive over 40 miles to leave Marshall here and it’s well worth the trip. Five stars aren’t enough.

I was really anxious about putting my boy in kennels, he’s a real home bird and a little shy around people he doesn’t know.
I shed a few tears when I left him (think it was me suffering separation anxiety)
Well I needn’t have worried he absolutely loved it by all accounts, came out of his shell on the second day and made loads of friends.
Thanks to to all the staff who took care of him you’re absolute stars. I won’t be hesitating again and would highly recommend.

I have always been very happy for poppy to board at stainthwaite and she has always come home happy and full of beans – but pops had been very poorly prior to going in stainthwaite in June needing a special diet and medication – no problem for staff – cooked her fresh fish twice a day and gave her all her medications – she came home her usual happy bouncy self – when I took her to the vets for her check up the following week he was very pleased with her progress and said that the kennels poppy stayed at must have been very good as her weight and health had improved – so a great big thank you to Jude and the girls who love and care for the dogs as their own

I was a little apprehensive about putting my two in kennels while I was away after doing it previously with charlie and seeing how miserable he was when I picked him up and seeing that he had lost some considerable weight. But this time picking them up from Stainthwaite Kennels both of my dogs were so so very happy and I could see it straight away!!! The girls there told me they had both eaten twice a day as they do at home (that worried me from previous experience also) so I was very happy!!! I don’t know what the girls there did with them both but when we got home I had two very very tired doggies!!! Thanks you so much girls!!! I will be in touch for later in the year!!!

We won’t eve use anywhere else. I plan my holidays around their schedule it’s not the other way and round and worth every penny to have a happy, safe and well looked after dog

Absolutely love stainthwaites. Both dogs come back happy and exhausted too our German Shepherd is not the most sociable dog with other dogs but it amazes me that every time she comes here she makes friends. The staff are so dog orientated you don’t have to worry about leaving your dogs. We have had to use a different kennel on one occasion when we were late booking and stainthwaites were full and I vowed never to let that happen again. Can’t recommend enough, a fantastic place x

For those that are concerned about their dog being in kennels need not be as be as here is unlike any other kennels. My rescue dog didn’t want to leave! I can’t thank Jude and all the staff enough for looking after Bonnie as one of their own. I will certainly be back �.
